The port of Lahaina was the base for our snorkeling trip.  We went to Molokini Crater, and on the way there and back, saw many whales!  We have movies of them breaching, including a trio of them which included a "newborn". 

This youngster weighed an estimated 1500 pounds at birth, consumed 70 -100 GALLONS of milk a day, and grew at the astounding rate of 3 pounds per HOUR! 

As we were leaving Maui, we saw a number of RAINBOWS, thought to be a good omen by the islanders...
